Q: My jewelry turns dark after wear or storage. How should I clean it?

A: Silver oxidizes (turns dark) naturally when exposed to air. Most gold and silver jewelry is easily cleaned with a liquid detergent solution. Avoid using anything with abrasives or bleach. Click here for more on Jewelry Care.

Q: My piece of jewelry needs repair. What should I do?

A: To have your jewelry repaired, please refer to the Repair section of our website.

Q: Do you make custom pieces?

A: Requests for custom pieces will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please address queries to Customer Service.

Q: Do you do wedding rings or wedding bands?

A: Although John Hardy does not do a line of wedding rings as such, discerning customers have found that a number of our rings make distinctive wedding bands.

Q: I'm interested in a particular piece that I saw in a magazine. Can you tell me where to buy the piece?

A: Kindly send details of your query to Customer Service. Please include as much about the piece as you can and where you saw it. We will try to locate details on the piece for you. If you know the name of the magazine, you should be able to find it under Press/Editorials on this website. Product details are at the bottom of the editorial.

Q: I lost a beloved piece. Can it be replaced?

Q: I lost an earring/cufflink/tuxedo stud. Can I get a replacement to match?

Q: How do I determine the size of a bracelet?

A: A bracelet is measured from the middle of the clasp at each end.

Q: I would like to resize my John Hardy ring/bracelet/necklace. Is this possible?

A: Rings can only be sized up or down by one size. Bracelets and Necklaces can only be sized down. For further assistance, please write to us at Contact Us section or visit our Repair section to learn how you can mail the piece in to get it resized.
