The Chaipattana Foundation

The Chaipattana Foundation Aid and Restoration Centers for Flood Victims is a part of the larger Chaipattana Foundation, begun by His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej, king of Thailand in 1988. The foundation has established more than 200 development projects that provide aid to the Thai people such as education, agriculture and environmental conservation. Since the flooding began in July, the foundation has been carrying out relief operations in affected areas including setting up and managing shelters, providing hot meals and medical services, distributing survival kits, organizing transportation and gathering material donations.
